About Me

My name is Bob. I work in cyber security and have been collecting Pokemon cards since the release of the Base Set in 1999. After a long break, I jumped back into the hobby in 2025. My main goal now is building a complete Pokedex made entirely of Illustration Rare (IR) and Special Illustration Rare (SIR) cards. I am currently sitting at 155 out of 1025, with Meowth, Mew, and Lucario being my top three favorite Pokemon.

On this blog, I post reviews of new chase cards, placing fresh releases side by side with older cards of the same Pokemon to compare how the artwork and design styles have evolved over time. I also share information on upcoming product drops, set release schedules, and restock dates to help you keep track of what is coming out next.
